Understanding Weight

Know Its Impact on Health

At Seale Harris Clinic, we evaluate obesity using Body Mass Index (BMI) — a calculation based on your height and weight that estimates body fat. A BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese and may significantly increase your risk of chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes.

What to Expect

Your evaluation may include a review of your BMI and a series of lab tests to identify related health risks:

  • Electrolyte Panel
(Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Glucose, Kidney function)
  • Lipid Panel
    (Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides)
  • CBC
    (Complete Blood Count)
  • Liver Function Tests
  • Urinalysis

These labs help us build a comprehensive picture of your overall metabolic health.

    WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY

Once checked in I hardly waited, the staff was so friendly. Dr. Barrows listened to my concerns, was knowledgeable and gets bonus points for laughing at my jokes. The lab tech was incredible, I did not even feel the needle go in/out at they drew blood. Cannot speak highly enough of this experience.

I was looking for a primary doctor in the area, and Dr. Casey was highly recommended. I’ve had several visits with him over the year and he treats me like I’m his only patient. Very one on one. He always answers my questions and is never rushed. From reception, ma, nurses, lab staff has always been very professional and helpful. I’m glad I made the change to this practice. I highly recommend Dr. Casey and his staff to anyone looking for a primary physician.
