Understanding Your Risk

Early Detection Saves Lives

At Seale Harris Clinic, your health is our priority. That’s why most new patients receive a chest X-ray during their first visit. This allows us to detect abnormalities early—such as nodules—that may need follow-up.

What to Expect

In addition to your wellness check on your first visit, we also tailor additional screenings based on your age, gender, and family history, which may include:

  • CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen)

  • CA 125 (Ovarian cancer marker)

  • PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)

  • Pap Tests

  • Mammograms

  • CT or PET Scans when further imaging is necessary

These tests help us detect cancer at its earliest stages, when treatment is most effective.

    Recommended Screening Guidelines

    • Mammogram: Every 1–2 years for women ages 50–69

    • Pap Test: At least every 3 years for sexually active women

    • Colorectal Cancer: Starting at age 50 with FOBT and sigmoidoscopy every 3–5 years

     Did You Know?

    • Cancer is the #2 leading cause of death in the U.S.
    • It accounts for nearly 23% of all deaths

    • Over 1.4 million new cancer cases are expected this year

    • Prostate and breast cancers are the most common in men and women respectively

    -Holly

I have used Seale Harris Clinic for many years. I like the care I receive from my Dr. and his staff. I also like that many tests and procedures can be done right there in the office, saves me time and the inconvenience of several trips. If I am sick, I have always been given a same day appointment, they even saw my out of town friend within hours of calling them.  The clinic is very clean and up to date, I highly recommend it.
